Akakura Sansō

Seminar House
Akakura Sansō

588-29 Akakura, Myōkō-shi, Niigata

Located in Niigata Prefecture’s Myokokogen area, Akakura Sansō is a seminar house owned by our institution.

Established in 1806 during the Edo Period, Akakura Onsen is an authentic hot-springs paradise steeped in history and culture, having been a favorite of celebrities and other famous people including Okakura Kakuzō, Yosano Akiko, and Ozaki Kōyō.

Our facility here is actively used as a study house for students, as a lodging house for student club activities, as an employee benefit for faculty members, and as a place for pursuing knowledge and honing athletic ability. But it is also somewhere for students and instructors to communicate with each other.

Characteristics of Akakura Sansō

It is actively used by our junior-high school, high school, and university.
Examples of institute events held there: freshmen camp, summer camp, ski classes, study sessions, club activities

Offering a taste of the four seasons along with a chance to enjoy winter sports, Akakura Sansō has individual rooms that can be used by faculty members, alumni, and their families, so it also serves as a private lodging facility.
