Code of Governance

Code of Governance

School Foundation of Nippon Institute of Technology (hereinafter referred to as "the Headquarters") has been committed to fulfilling its responsibility as a trusted and essential higher education institution. In order to provide a safe and secure educational and research environment for students and various stakeholders surrounding the Headquarters, and to cultivate and produce talented individuals who can contribute to society, the Headquarters formulated the Nippon Institute of Technology Educational Corporation Governance Code in July 2020 and has since been actively promoting its implementation.

Recently, the Japan Association of Private Universities and Colleges (hereinafter referred to as "JAPUC") has established the JAPUC Private University Governance Code (Version 2.0) (hereinafter referred to as "this Code"). This Code was developed in response to the efforts of member universities to implement governance codes formulated by JAPUC and other private educational organizations, as well as in consideration of societal demands for governance reform in school corporations. By further promoting voluntary and autonomous initiatives to strengthen governance among member universities, the aim is to enhance the sound management and development of private universities as a whole.

As a member university of JAPUC, the Headquarters adheres to this Code, conducts self-assessments on its compliance and implementation, and discloses the results to the public.

The Headquarters will continue to strive for the improvement of educational and research quality, ensure transparency in its administration and operations, gain public trust, and enhance the soundness of its management.
