Request for Your Support

I hope that this message finds everyone in good happiness and health. Thank you very much for your continued cooperation and understanding with regard to the development of our university’s educational and research opportunities.

In the more than 110 years since its founding, our university has seen the social environment surrounding it undergo significant changes. We are now living in an era that strongly demands more of the education and research offered at schools; rather than providing students with mere knowledge and technical skills, we must also teach them critical thinking, decision-making, taking initiative, communication, and other abilities that allow them to make the best use of those resources.

Our university has been working to develop its educational and research environments in a way that responds to these social demands of our times. To fuel these efforts, we must now ask for help in the form of donations from individuals and companies.

Ever since it was established, our university has provided learning support to students, improved education and research, maintained school facilities, and promoted social cooperation through the generous donations it receives from the parents of students, alumni and other individuals connected to the university, companies, and public institutions. As we continue to implement policies that improve the education and research offered by our university, we humbly ask for your generous support and cooperation.

Akira Yanagisawa, Chairperson of the NIT Incorporated Educational Institution

6.Tax Incentives for Donations
1)Companies

By applying to the Promotion and Mutual Aid Corporation for Private Schools of Japan (the “Corporation”) for a “recipient-designated donation,” companies can count the entire donated amount as a financial loss when filing their corporate taxes.
Our university will handle all the procedures necessary to apply for a recipient-designated donation.
Your donation application and donated funds will be sent from the university to the Corporation, which will then return the donated funds to the university.
Once the Corporation issues a receipt for the donation, we will forward it to you. Please use this document to receive tax incentives when filing your corporate taxes.

2)Individuals

Nippon Institute of Technology has been approved by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology as an eligible target of donations for tax deductions. Individuals can receive tax deductions for donations they provide to the university. There are two systems for deducting donations: tax deductions and tax credits. When filing your income taxes, you can choose the system that benefits you the most.

We may acknowledge companies and individuals who provide donations by listing their names in the university’s PR brochures or other materials. However, we will not publicize the names of donors who ask to remain anonymous.
